The Fish Tank - Southport Fish & Chips

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Delicious! We had an amazing experience at this outlet. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were golden, fluffy, and seasoned just right. Everything was cooked fresh to order, and you could really taste the quality. Easily one of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time, we’ll definitely be back!

What a little gem. My wife and I indulged in the hot seafood platter. Did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked, super fresh and tasty. Excellent variety. We left with full bellies. Staff were very friendly, super quick service. By far the best fish’n’chips we have had.

The food was good and portions were generous, with prices that were very reasonable. That said, a few things could be improved: The fries were overcooked. When we ordered a shared calamari plate, no sharing plates were provided. There were no extra napkins on the tables. We asked for extra lemon and received just one lemon, halved. Seating was mixed—couch seating was fine, but the white metal chairs felt cheap and uncomfortable. All in all, it’s a solid spot. I’d definitely come back if I were in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to plan a dinner here.

Came from Brisbane was craving for fish and chips. Randomly chose this one from map but so surprised . The location is super convenient. Not only the food is so tasty but also the food portion is really big I couldn’t finish by myself ahah. And the price is really reasonable! The customer service is also good! Definitely 10/10. I will definitely come back :) The potato scallops is so cheap but so yummy. Thank you!

Seen all the reviews and had to go find out for ourselves. Well they definitely didn’t disappoint. The fish was flakey and tender, Melting in your mouth. The calamari was fresh cooked and perfectly soft. The Hawaiian chick burger was so juicy and delicious. The fresh prawns, oysters and muscles were flavoursome, emphasis on the fresh. Yummmm!!! The staff were attentive (so attentive in face that someone’s little one almost fell off a stool and the staff came running and caught the little one before they fell) friendly and speedy. The food was a good serving size. In fact we had so much we had to get a takeaway container to take the extra home. Highly recommend parking in the 2 hour free undercover parking at queen street village and going to enjoy a very delicious meal.

No idea re: atmosphere as we ordered in. Food. That was on point. Fantastic. It’s always a little hit and miss ordering in F&Cs for fear of a high sogginess factor. This however, scrumptious. The burgers I must add… A. MAZE. ING.

Came to Gold Coast for a holiday and was so glad I came over here to try it out after looking at the reviews. Best fish and chips hands down! - Crazy good portion - Unbelievably fresh and tender seafood (tried the Gourmet Whiting fish with prawn and calamari) - Batter was crispy and not oily - Even the tartar sauce was plated in an oyster shell. Hats off to presentation - Staff was very friendly, checking in on our meal as well as observing her interactions with other customers Must try. Period.

We had a wonderful dining experience during our recent holiday. The hot seafood platter for two was superb! The quantity and quality of the food far exceeded our expectations. Everything was served promptly, and the food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We certainly plan to return on our next trip. It is highly recommended!!
